Community sport at its best
The Willetton Men’s Softball Association is home to 9 teams competing in the 2026 season, bringing together players from across the local area for weekly games, friendly rivalry, and a strong sense of community that extends well beyond the diamond.
It’s grassroots sport at its finest , competitive, social, and deeply connected to the people who make it happen every week.
A big day at Presidents Day
On Saturday 20th of August, Dave and Steph from Billy Stitch were invited down to attend the Association’s Presidents Day. It was a fantastic opportunity to get amongst the action and spend the day watching all the teams out on the field.
Watching the action on the diamond
From the first pitch through to the final innings, there was a genuine buzz around the grounds. Each game brought its own energy, with players giving it their all and supporters cheering from the sidelines.
It’s the kind of atmosphere that reminds you why local sport matters, real people, real effort, and a shared love of the game.
More than just a game
After the games wrapped up, players, families, and supporters gathered inside for food, drinks, and raffles. The day had a strong family focus, with kids running around, teammates swapping stories, and everyone coming together in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
You could really feel the sense of community in the room, it wasn’t just about softball, it was about connection.
Supporting the raffle and giving back
As part of the day, Billy Stitch Distillery was proud to donate bottles of gin to support the Association’s raffle, helping raise funds that go directly back into the club.
It’s a small way we can give back to the people who put so much energy into keeping local sport alive and thriving.
Why we back local sport
The Willetton Men’s Softball Association continues to be a great example of what community sport is all about, connection, commitment, and a bit of healthy competition. We’re stoked to play a small part in that journey and look forward to supporting the teams throughout the 2026 season.
