In 2025, Billy Stitch Distillery was proud to play a part in something truly special, DecAid for Starlight, a bi-annual, decade-themed charity event that brings people together for a good time with even better intentions.
This particular edition was all about the 1990s, and it didn’t hold back. Hosted inside the iconic Naval Store in Fremantle, Western Australia, and styled to nostalgic perfection by @m_eventhire, the event transported guests straight back to the era of scrunchies, neon windbreakers, boy bands and booming dance floors.

But DecAid is more than just a great party. Created to support the vital work of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, it’s a travelling celebration through time—each year revisiting a different decade to raise funds and awareness for seriously ill children and their families. And this year’s 90s edition did not disappoint.
With over $150,000 raised on the night, the event was a vibrant show of community generosity and collective impact.

As the official spirit sponsor, Billy Stitch Distillery was honoured to serve up the good times behind the bar. Our team kept the energy high and the glasses full with a bold line-up of nostalgic cocktails, including Espresso Martinis, Blue Lagoons, and Cosmos all with that classic Billy Stitch twist. It was a flavour-packed way to add even more fun to an already unforgettable night.
From those cocktails alone, we were able to contribute $5,500 directly to the fundraising total. And we couldn’t be prouder to know that every sip was part of something far bigger than the glass it was served in.

The atmosphere was nothing short of electric. Guests came dressed to impress, channelling their inner Spice Girls, Britney Spears, TLC, Justin Timberlake, and Duffman with full commitment. We spotted plaid mini skirts and knee-high socks straight out of Clueless, grungy flannel and Gwen Stefani-inspired punk flair.

At Billy Stitch, being involved in events like DecAid is more than just sponsorship. It’s about being part of a community that values connection, contribution, and doing things a little differently. From the very beginning, we’ve believed in creating moments that matter—and this was one of those moments.
To the incredible teams at @decaidforstarlight and @m_eventhire, thank you for the invitation and for making it all look (and feel) seamless. To the Starlight Children’s Foundation, we’re continually inspired by the work you do and proud to have played a small part in helping you do more of it.

As we look ahead to the next DecAid, and wonder which decade we’ll be dancing through next, we’ll be ready, cocktail shaker in hand, to bring the flavour and the fun, all in support of a great cause.
