If there was ever an excuse for Billy Stitch to add edible gold to a cocktail, this was it.
We recently had the absolute pleasure of being part of the 2026 Anglicare WA MEH Gala at Crown Perth, held under this year’s spectacular theme, Celestial Grace.
And when we say this event had it all, we mean it.
Hosted by Rove McManus, the night was packed with live music, dancers, roaming entertainment, a glitter bar, raffles, silent and live auctions.

Guests also got seriously creative themselves, with a best-dressed competition bringing out some spectacular interpretations of the Celestial Grace theme.

There was sparkle everywhere you looked , but underneath all the glitter and entertainment was a night dedicated to raising funds and supporting the important work of Anglicare WA.
500 cocktails and a little edible gold

Billy Stitch came on board as a sponsor of the evening, and naturally, we were given the very important job of cocktails.
Around 500 guests were welcomed with a complimentary cocktail on arrival, choosing between a Billy Blackberry Bramble or a Negroni, complete with fresh orange and edible gold flakes for a little extra celestial sparkle.
But that was only the beginning for our team.
Throughout the evening, Billy Stitch took over the Celestial Bar, pouring Cosmopolitans, Espresso Martinis and Billy Stitch gins well into the night, alongside a selection of our other drinks.

A portion of every cocktail purchased from the Celestial Bar went directly back to Anglicare WA, contributing $1,421.10 to the cause.
Behind the scenes, bringing the bar and 500 arrival cocktails to life involved plenty of preparation, product, equipment, staffing, transport and logistics from our little team — but seeing that ballroom full of people enjoying themselves made it well worth the effort.
Fashion, music and a whole lot of celestial sparkle

MEH certainly isn't your average sit-down charity gala.
Between visits to the Celestial Bar, guests were treated to live music, dancers and roaming performers throughout the evening.
There was also a live fashion show featuring TAFE fashion students, bringing another huge dose of creativity to the Celestial Grace theme.

Then there was the glitter bar, raffles, silent auction, live auction and dancing and music all night long.

Everywhere you looked, something was happening.
It was colourful, creative, theatrical and just a little bit outrageous — so naturally, Billy Stitch felt right at home.
Then someone bought 10 litres of whisky…
We also wanted to find a few other ways to contribute to the fundraising effort.
Billy Stitch donated a gin package valued at $560 to the silent auction, which raised $425 for Anglicare WA.
Then came one of our favourite moments of the evening.
We donated a very special experience to the live auction — the opportunity to work with Billy Stitch to create a completely custom 10-litre batch of whisky.
The winning bid?
$4,000!
We were absolutely thrilled and we're pretty excited to see what we end up creating with the very generous winning bidder.
Between our Celestial Bar contribution and the two auction items, Billy Stitch's involvement helped generate $5,846.10 directly for Anglicare WA, alongside the products, time and resources contributed by our team to help bring the evening to life.
Sharing the night with a few familiar faces

We were also lucky enough to invite a few of our friends along to share in the festivities, with guests joining us from The Baldivis Times, Tenfold Hospitality Group, Universal Bar and Project Liquor.
One of the things we love about being part of the WA small business and hospitality community is the people we meet along the way, so it was pretty special to have some of those familiar faces around our table for a night that was ultimately all about coming together for a good cause.
All in the name of a good cause

For all the glitter, fashion, cocktails and entertainment, the heart of MEH is about bringing people together to support a good cause.
As a small WA business, we're incredibly grateful when we're able to use what we do to contribute , whether that's donating a bottle to a raffle, creating something special for an auction or, in this case, pouring a few hundred (okay, quite a few hundred!) cocktails.
A huge thank you to Anglicare WA and the MEH Gala team for inviting Billy Stitch along for the ride, to everyone who visited the Celestial Bar, bought a cocktail, placed a bid or stopped for a chat, and to everyone behind the scenes who helped pull off such an enormous night.

This event truly had it all , fashion, music, creativity, generosity and plenty of celestial sparkle.
Celestial Grace, you were an absolute blast.
Fancy a taste of the night? Our Orange & Cassia Gin was the star behind the Negronis we poured at the MEH Gala , bold orange, warming spice and just the right amount of attitude. Meet the gin behind the cocktail and shake up a little celestial magic at home.
